TrailManners
The TrailManners crew is from the beautiful trails in Ogden, Utah and we’re here to connect you to wherever trail, ultra and mountain running takes us. We’ll chat with amazing athletes, discuss the latest trends and get you stoked for your next trail adventure. We will have interviews, gear reviews, race reports, LOTS of podcasts, contests and loads of entertainment from beers of the week, random bigfoot sightings, race updates and everything in between. TrailManners is about capturing the moment: the possibility that everyday has the potential to be the best day of your life. Every day. We promise to always bring our passion and love for the trails as well as a healthy appetite for cheese curds and a solid IPA. We want to thank you for taking this journey with us. Aric W. Episode #4- Jennilyn Eaton: Suffering is humorous.
Tuesday Dec 01, 2015
Tuesday Dec 01, 2015
With Studio 78 under the weather, we headed down to Salt Lake City to meet up with Jennilyn Eaton at Beans & Brews for some java and conversation. Luckily for us she had a small window in yet another busy day of being a mom, working at Park City Running Company training at Momentum and coming back from an injury. Early on we knew this was going to be a great show as she informed us of some major plans for 2016. The plan starts with trying to get into the Barkley Marathon and then follow that up with the "Wasatch Monopoly". Jennilyn will also throw her name into the Wasatch 100 lottery after receiving "the white dress"- on a dare. Needless to say Jennilyn will have her hands full and we here at TrailManners wish her the best of luck but after sitting down with her we are not sure she needs it!To see and read more about Jennilyn and her adventures, head on over to www.themountainist.comShow NotesRunMoThe Wasatch MonopolyThe Barkley MovementSuffering is humorous?Mountain Misfits

Episode #3- Tara Warren: That old quesadilla hangover
Tuesday Nov 24, 2015
Tuesday Nov 24, 2015
We caught up with Tara Warren at the 22nd street trailhead just a few days after completing her first 100 mile trail race- the Bear 100. Not only were her emotions still a little raw but so were her feet. We enjoyed listening to how she manages to train for a difficult 100 mile race while she raises her 3 boys with her ultra runner husband Bryce. Bear 100 may have been tough but pulling this show off with a guy on his lunch break bouncing some sweet tunes and devouring Taco Bell was no easy task.Show NotesSteps to her first 100 mile raceHydrating to musicBacon feetQuesadilla hangover

Episode #2- Robert Kunz: It's a van party.
Tuesday Nov 24, 2015
Tuesday Nov 24, 2015
Wow, what a load of information! We met up with Robert and pulled him away from his duties as VP of Science & Technology at First Endurance. When Studio 78 rolled up to the trailhead at Wheeler Creek in Ogden, there was already a sweet VW van waiting. After trading some great stories about the van life we loaded into Studio 78 and got a lesson in nutrition. We encourage everyone to give this a listen.Show NotesThe role of a guinea pigTips on hydration & nutritionSimplifying your trainingRussia and FIFADon't forget to head on over to First Endurance to see more!

Episode #1- Scott Jaime: Keep it simple man.
Tuesday Nov 24, 2015
Tuesday Nov 24, 2015
It was an absolute pleasure to have Scott Jaime in Studio 78 as our first guest on the TrailManners podcast. We would like to think he drove from Colorado just for the show but in fact it was a Fantasy Football draft...go figure. He may not have shared his "sleeper" pick for the season but he shared plenty of great insight and stories from the trail. With Studio 78 parked at the Wasatch 100 start, it was bound to bring up fond memories from his early training and his first 100 mile race. We hope you enjoy the show.Show NotesSoccer paths cross on the pitchColorado TrailBeing a family manSimplicity and unpluggingAnd find out what he says will be the defining moment in his ultra running career.

TrailManners
I feel extremely fortunate to have been involved with the trail running community since 2006. Whether it is running, racing, podcasting, race directing, being a team manager, product testing, HUMR founder or a volunteer- the friendships I have forged with so many amazing people will always be my greatest memories. Mountains and trails are my passions and I can’t say no to a good adventure.
Bringing TrailManners to life has been life changing and a dream come true. I am so happy Joel Hatch and I started this journey- now let’s see where else it can take us.
