It's ALIVE! Studio 78 is back in businees folks. We headed out to Antelope Island over the weekend for the Buffalo Run races. We were busy volunteering and hanging out with some of the greatest people on this here planet. It was such a joy to see people reaching their goals and a blast sitting around talking to new and old friends. We appreciate everyone who took the time to come say hi and share a smile or story....or 2. We were absolutely blown away by the kind things we heard.

Melissa Solomon is amazing- it's just that simple; however, there is nothing simple about her journey. One of the biggest things we like about doing this podcast is the people we get to meet. Melissa definitely ranks at the top of the list of shows and people who inspire us and just throw down the "WOW FACTOR".
We hope you enjoy this show and we cannot thank Melissa enough for joining us and telling her story. We also include the link below of her blog post.
Here is the link to her post about her journey. BLOG POST

With the 25th running of the Chuckanut 50k happening this weekend we thought it would be a great time to talk to the amazing RD- Krissy Moehl. Krissy was kind enough (and patient enough) to join us for a podcast over the phone. Being in the final stages of preparation we cannot thank Krissy enough for taking the time to talk to us and give us all the details about the race and what the runners can expect. She has a couple other RD's helping and a load of volunteers to help make this event happen. Good Luck and we hope you all enjoy the show!

Sushi then a Podcast....Yes please. We definitely did something a bit different with this episode. We met our guest- Kenzie Barlow and a grocery store...a "high end" grocery store (her words-ha).  We sat in some soft leather couches next to the fire place and it was game on!
Kenzie has been running, racing and coaching for years. When she talks you can just see the joy they bring her. She is passionate about running and gathering more and more knowledge on the stuff. We covered a bit of everything from Snow Snorkelers to Dirty Dirty Rap. If you don't believe that- you better have a listen.
Enjoy the show and check out the Tenacity Tenfold Endurance link in the show notes.

Brad has an amazing story that not many know about. In fact, we had no idea until we got into the show and he left us speechless. Brad has been a supporter of the show since the beginning and we have been quietly stalking his running ever since. He had a tremendous 2016 and took home the "Most Improved" award at the yearly Wasatch Mountain Wranglers forma as voted on by his peers. Brad is a down to earth guy and you can feel his love for trail running when he talks. It was such a pleasure to sit down with Brad at Bomber Studios to hear an inspiring story of his "road" to trail running.

Since Gabe was headed down to run RUFA we thought we better sit down with him to talk about cheese curds, Lander running scene and the invention of trail running. He was kind enough to meet us at our home away from home: Park City Running Company where Canice was nice enough to brew up a fresh pot of coffee.
Gabe is a remarkable person and runner. His love for the outdoors and the mountains really comes through when you talk to him about his love and passions. He had a solid 2016 with some impressive races but 2017 looks like it will be of epic proportions.
Enjoy the show and remember - listen to the end for another awesome contest!

In episode #71 of the TrailManners podcast we meet Monica DeVreese. Monica is co-owner of Santa Barbara Running Company and is the co-founder of running apparel start-up Rabbit. We dive into Monica's running roots as a speedy high schooler to a sub 3-hour marathoner, and 100 miler finisher at the beautiful Cascade Crest 100. Monica has over 20 years experience in the run industry from brand development and product manager to store owner.
We were very excited to hear the story behind the Rabbit brand and are huge supporters of made in the USA running apparel. Monica was a fun and engaging guest who will be back on the show in May just before Rabbit launches the new Trail Running clothing line.

For the rest of February you’ll save 20% on Rabbit apparel with the coupon code “trailmanners”.

We were super excited to get an invitation from And She's Dope Too (ASDT) to come and do a show at the Inaugural "Lady Wild Film Fest" here in Ogden, UT. The film fest showcased both feature length and short films with a strong female lead of characters. The purpose of the festival is to rally around ladies in film who are pushing the boundaries of understanding, adventure and sisterhood in their daily lives.
ASDT is an amazing group of people and we were lucky to sit down with 4 of them: Julie Cornelius, Francesca Weikert (Franny), Shonny Vanlandingham and Rachel Pohl... and of course Fritz- the world class running weiner dog. During these interviews we talked about their upcoming trip to Nepal and all the good things they will be doing with the Ladies Mountain League (LML).
Take some time to head over to the links in the show note and check it out.
We hope you all enjoy the show!

We sure love it when some of our favorite people come back for another podcast. On this trip down, Ty hit the trails with Debbie Farka (returning guest) and the TrailManners crew on a magical snowy run and we must say his bionic leg is working great! After the run we tried and tried to get Joel's truck unstuck from the big snowfall but to no avail and we had to return later for a go.
During the show we talked about Ty's recovery, his amazing race in Afton and we all chimed in on the subject of DNF's. The show was full of fun and we threw in a donut eating contest to spice things up. Unfortuantely we ran out of donuts but we never did run out of laughs. The great part of this show is Ty's "Neck Meat" was on point!
Enjoy the show!
