TrailManners
The TrailManners crew is from the beautiful trails in Ogden, Utah and we’re here to connect you to wherever trail, ultra and mountain running takes us. We’ll chat with amazing athletes, discuss the latest trends and get you stoked for your next trail adventure. We will have interviews, gear reviews, race reports, LOTS of podcasts, contests and loads of entertainment from beers of the week, random bigfoot sightings, race updates and everything in between. TrailManners is about capturing the moment: the possibility that everyday has the potential to be the best day of your life. Every day. We promise to always bring our passion and love for the trails as well as a healthy appetite for cheese curds and a solid IPA. We want to thank you for taking this journey with us. Aric W. Episode #34- Tara Warren: Bighorn 100
Tuesday Jun 21, 2016
Tuesday Jun 21, 2016
It is always fun when you can bring a guest back for a second time. Just a couple days after her Bighorn 100 mile race Tara Warren agreed to be back on the show. The first time we had Tara on it wasn't long after her first 100 mile race- The Bear 100. 9 months later she took on the Bighorn and PR'd by over 6 hours- going 28:48 for a woman's top 10 finish.
We talk to Tara about things she learned, whats she has been up to as well as what it is like to be the proud parent of a high school National Champion track athlete and new record holder in the 4x1mile relay.
We also talk about testing out some new UltrAspire gear, crazy animal attacks and we want to know your thoughts on the Western States 100 this weekend.
Sit back relax and enjoy another episode of TrailManners....and as always THANK YOU for your support.

Episode #33- Luke Nelson: With Whom Lies Responsibility
Tuesday Jun 14, 2016
Tuesday Jun 14, 2016
With all the buzz around a recent article put out by iRunFar written by Luke Nelson we knew we had to get him on again. Unfortunately we had to do it via Google Hangouts so the sound isn't what we hoped it would be. As we still work on dialing that in- the info we talk about with Luke needs to be heard. You can head over to iRunFar and read the article HERE. With the growth of our sport and more and more people getting out to enjoy the backcountry- Luke's article should make us all stop and think. We would love to hear your comments and views.
We also planted a seed on a great idea we had: Backcountry Survival weekend by Luke Nelson. I can't wait- :)

Episode #32- Scout Mountain Ultra Race Recap
Tuesday Jun 07, 2016
Tuesday Jun 07, 2016
Well we had big plans of doing a show after the SMUT race this past Saturday but unfortunately we were toast. The heat and race took its toll so after about an hour of sitting around trying to regroup we called it and started the drive back home. We had a great time seeing some familiar faces and new ones and as always enjoyed our journey in the mountains.
During this show will we recap the race and just talk trails.

Episode #30- Eric Johnson: Iditarod 1000 and so much more
Tuesday May 24, 2016
Tuesday May 24, 2016
Episode 30 was a blast. We had the pleasure of having Eric Johnson on the show and he provided us with some great insight. Eric is a truly remarkable person and amazing runner. He ran his first Wasatch 100 in 1992 and then took 10 years off before completing it 10 more times and countless other races. This year he ran the Iditarod 1000....yes 1000 miles on the Iditarod course in Alaska. He hit the start line with 5 other people and finished in 26 days 18 hours and 49 minutes. We talk about running, racing and life. Thank you Eric and we are very excited to get you back on the show.

Episode #29- Matt Trappe & a Contest!
Tuesday May 17, 2016
Tuesday May 17, 2016
We had a great chance to get Matt on the schedule via Google Hangouts to talk to him about his amazing films. Although we need to still do some tweaking to the process, we think Matt sounded great. His first to films are incredible, first- Running the Edge: The Colorado Trail and now the newly released- Kissing the Rock. He does such an amazing job or telling these stories and allowing the viewer an inside look to not just the characters but the mystique surrounding them. We encourage everyone to not just watch them both but schedule a showing in your area.
Matt mentions his next project and we can't wait to get him back on the show as it draws near.
CONTEST ALERT:
If Matt did a film about TrailManners- what should it be called?
Submit your answers via our Facebook page for a chance to win a TrailManners Visor or hat of your choice! Aric & Joel will pick the winner and announce it on an upcoming show. Contest ends Wednesday May 25th.

Best of TrailManners #2: Luke Nelson
Tuesday May 03, 2016
Tuesday May 03, 2016
Alright folks- you spoke we listened. After the Best of last week we got some feedback and decided to throw out the #2 show- Luke Nelson. Is it a coincidence that these 2 shows were shot the same day, same location and pretty much the same time?
Enjoy the show- next week we are back to game on!

TrailManners
I feel extremely fortunate to have been involved with the trail running community since 2006. Whether it is running, racing, podcasting, race directing, being a team manager, product testing, HUMR founder or a volunteer- the friendships I have forged with so many amazing people will always be my greatest memories. Mountains and trails are my passions and I can’t say no to a good adventure.
Bringing TrailManners to life has been life changing and a dream come true. I am so happy Joel Hatch and I started this journey- now let’s see where else it can take us.
