TrailManners
The TrailManners crew is from the beautiful trails in Ogden, Utah and we’re here to connect you to wherever trail, ultra and mountain running takes us. We’ll chat with amazing athletes, discuss the latest trends and get you stoked for your next trail adventure. We will have interviews, gear reviews, race reports, LOTS of podcasts, contests and loads of entertainment from beers of the week, random bigfoot sightings, race updates and everything in between. TrailManners is about capturing the moment: the possibility that everyday has the potential to be the best day of your life. Every day. We promise to always bring our passion and love for the trails as well as a healthy appetite for cheese curds and a solid IPA. We want to thank you for taking this journey with us. Aric W. Episode #71: Monica DeVreese: Rabbit
Tuesday Feb 14, 2017
Tuesday Feb 14, 2017
In episode #71 of the TrailManners podcast we meet Monica DeVreese. Monica is co-owner of Santa Barbara Running Company and is the co-founder of running apparel start-up Rabbit. We dive into Monica's running roots as a speedy high schooler to a sub 3-hour marathoner, and 100 miler finisher at the beautiful Cascade Crest 100. Monica has over 20 years experience in the run industry from brand development and product manager to store owner.
We were very excited to hear the story behind the Rabbit brand and are huge supporters of made in the USA running apparel. Monica was a fun and engaging guest who will be back on the show in May just before Rabbit launches the new Trail Running clothing line.
For the rest of February you’ll save 20% on Rabbit apparel with the coupon code “trailmanners”.

Tuesday Feb 07, 2017
We were super excited to get an invitation from And She's Dope Too (ASDT) to come and do a show at the Inaugural "Lady Wild Film Fest" here in Ogden, UT. The film fest showcased both feature length and short films with a strong female lead of characters. The purpose of the festival is to rally around ladies in film who are pushing the boundaries of understanding, adventure and sisterhood in their daily lives.
ASDT is an amazing group of people and we were lucky to sit down with 4 of them: Julie Cornelius, Francesca Weikert (Franny), Shonny Vanlandingham and Rachel Pohl... and of course Fritz- the world class running weiner dog. During these interviews we talked about their upcoming trip to Nepal and all the good things they will be doing with the Ladies Mountain League (LML).
Take some time to head over to the links in the show note and check it out.
We hope you all enjoy the show!

Episode #69- Ty Draney & Debbie Farka: DNF and Donut Eating Contest
Tuesday Jan 31, 2017
Tuesday Jan 31, 2017
We sure love it when some of our favorite people come back for another podcast. On this trip down, Ty hit the trails with Debbie Farka (returning guest) and the TrailManners crew on a magical snowy run and we must say his bionic leg is working great! After the run we tried and tried to get Joel's truck unstuck from the big snowfall but to no avail and we had to return later for a go.
During the show we talked about Ty's recovery, his amazing race in Afton and we all chimed in on the subject of DNF's. The show was full of fun and we threw in a donut eating contest to spice things up. Unfortuantely we ran out of donuts but we never did run out of laughs. The great part of this show is Ty's "Neck Meat" was on point!
Enjoy the show!

Here we go again- our #1 downloaded podcast guest is back for your listening pleasure. Luke traveled down to Outdoor Retailers in Salt Lake City and had time to stop by for yet another entertaining show. We did a quick litte recap of 2016 and poked and prodded to get some details on his 2017 plans. His focus has changed a bit for the year but he has some big plans in store. We get into the SMUT RD's head and he even issues a little RD Challenge. We are always happy to sitdown and talk to Luke and we am sure you will enjoy the show.
CONTEST ALERT: It has been awhile but Luke has announced our next contest but you better get on it- it only lasts a couple weeks.
Enjoy the show.

Tuesday Jan 17, 2017
Tuesday Jan 17, 2017
He's baaaaack! Mr. Turd'l Miller has returned to the TrailManners podcast with hopes of taking over the #1 spot. On this trip up in his brand new Sprinter rig, he forgot the tacos but brought some spoons. We sit down with him to talk about what it feels like not only to be #2 but also check in on how year one of the Capstone races went. It is always an out of control freight train when Turd'l joins us and this was no exception. We hope you like the show and we all want to send Turd'l some good mojo for the upcomnig Wasatch 100 lottery.

TrailManners
I feel extremely fortunate to have been involved with the trail running community since 2006. Whether it is running, racing, podcasting, race directing, being a team manager, product testing, HUMR founder or a volunteer- the friendships I have forged with so many amazing people will always be my greatest memories. Mountains and trails are my passions and I can’t say no to a good adventure.
Bringing TrailManners to life has been life changing and a dream come true. I am so happy Joel Hatch and I started this journey- now let’s see where else it can take us.
