We're not here to tell you that you have to run farther, faster, or harder.

We're here because the trail welcomes everyone.

We believe trail running is about much more than finish times.

It's about friendships formed on long climbs, quiet mornings in the mountains, helping a stranger at an aid station, laughing after getting lost, earning the post-run meal, and realizing that every day has the potential to become your best day.

TrailManners

I'm Aric W. Manning, founder and host of the TrailManners Podcast.

I've been fortunate to be part of the trail and ultrarunning community since 2006. I've worn a lot of hats over the years—runner, race director, volunteer, crew member, pacer, product tester, nonprofit leader, and podcast host—but the greatest gift has always been the people.

TrailManners started in 2015 with one simple goal: tell the stories that make this community so special.

Since then, I've had the privilege of sitting down with hundreds of runners—from first-time trail racers to some of the biggest names in the sport. Every conversation reinforces the same truth: the best part of trail running isn't the podium. It's the people.

When I'm not behind a microphone, you'll usually find me exploring trails with my wife Sarah and our dogs- Barrett and Timber, crewing races, testing gear, fly fishing, or working to build and protect trails through the Trails Foundation of Northern Utah.

My hope is simple: that every episode, video, article, or conversation leaves you a little more inspired to lace up your shoes, head outside, and create your own adventure.
